The Metro Washington, DC Chapter of the Alcorn State University Alumni Association cordially invites you to attend the 37th Annual Mid-Winter Conference here in our Nation’s Capital. The conference will be held in the picturesque Woodley Park Neighborhood of Washington, DC, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, February 13-16, 2014. Yes, that is Valentine’s Day Weekend.
Our theme is “Facing Forward: Moving Ahead With A Legacy to Remember”. As we conduct business to advance and support our beloved university, we invite you to enjoy the many offerings of the “Most Powerful City in the World”. The steering committee is busy planning a conference that promises to be both informative and entertaining. We are planning workshops and sessions to enhance our lives and the lives of the students matriculating at Alcorn State University.
We are also planning to keep you entertained. Would you like to see Washington, DC, by moonlight, including the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial? Or perhaps Outlet Mall Shopping and a visit to Maryland Live! Casino in Arundel Mills, Maryland, is more to your liking? How about dancing the night away at one DC’s hottest night clubs? Whatever your pleasure, we are planning it for you.
